10 iterations of our flagship Mary Jane is the brief, fusing something iconic from our collaborators. Time for something completely different! We used lactobacillus to brew a hoppy sour, Berlinerweisse. Ave Maria is our Italian translation of Mary Jane, from Lucca, via Milan to Ilkley Moor.
We’re not content with just launching this beer just here with our UK friends Managing Director, Richard, and Head Brewer, Ally, are heading over to Bologna to launch Ave Maria in Italy at the Acido Acida festival at the end of April.

The second instalment of our 10 Hail Marys Project to celebrate our 10th anniversary is a collaboration with two brewers from Italy. We have been distributing in Italy for over 6 years now, and our distributors recommended Bruton to launch a joint beer with, and finally with this project we had the right time to do it!
Of course, our head brewer is also Italian, and hails from Milan, and so wanted to bring her friend, Allo who ran Canediguerra into the mix… it turns out he used to work at Bruton, so already we were all firm friends!
