10 iterations of our flagship Mary Jane is the brief, fusing something iconic from our collaborators. When it came to a London twist on Mary Jane… well, there was a particular supercalifragulisticexpialidocious London Mary that floated into our minds…
Five Points may be based in London, but their ties to the North are strong, and they own the iconic Whitelocks pub in Leeds, and so we’re super excited to be throwing our third 10th Birthday party at not one, but two cracking venues – Whitelocks and The Pembury Tavern in Hackney.
Head over to our Facebook page to see all the pics from the brewday, and in particular the cold-mash infusion technique that we employed to get all the colour but none of the flavour from the dark malts!
We actually brewed 2 batches, one for cask, and one for keg, so no-one misses out! Keep your eyes peeled for notifications of chosen stockists.
‘ELLO MARY HOPPINS!
No spoon-full of sugar needed to help this medicine go down.
Collaboration #3 from our 10 Hail Marys project sees us teaming up with old friends Five Points Brewing. We used to distribute their beer up in the North back in the day, and have always worked closely with Ed and his lovely team. So it was a no brainer to invite them to be part of our birthday celebrations.
“Winds in the east, mist coming in,
Like somethin’ is brewin’ and bout to begin.
Can’t put me finger on what lies in store,
But I fear what’s to happen all happened before. ”
