IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT WE ARE ANNOUNCING THE POSTPONEMENT OF OUR CHARITY FESTIVAL.
The situation and advice is changing daily, and escalating. I feel it is inevitable that public gatherings will be curtailed significantly in the near future, and we also feel that encouraging people to congregate in large numbers at the brewery contradicts our internal measures of avoiding risk and minimising unnecessary contact at the brewery.
I would like to assure you that it’s a postponement rather than a cancellation, and that hopefully a summer festival can be even bigger and better.
I’m sorry for any hassle of changing arrangements, but hopefully you’ll appreciate that we have your staff interests at heart as well in terms of attendance. We have a number of high risk employees with underlying health conditions (including myself) and we have to think of people before party.
Once we have a clearer idea of the wider impacts of the virus, in terms of timing, I will annouce a rescheduled date.
At Brewgooder they’re on a mission to end water poverty for 1m people through the power of beer… to get there they asked for a little help from their friends.
This event is our unique contribution to a global campaign uniting hundreds of breweries around the world to bring 100,000 people clean drinking water in Malawi, on World Water Day 2020.
We are blessed to be able to make beer with amazing, pure, Yorkshire Water, so we wanted to join forces with other Yorkshire brewers for a massive party to harness our water, to raise as much as we can towards Brewgooder’s vision of ending water poverty for 1m people.
10 Yorkshire brewers, paired up to brew 5 special charity beers.
Giant teepee featuring a gin & prosecco bar + fire pit.
Kids entertainment, live music and performances.
Street food and artisan market stalls.
It’s a family affair, and free entry (we encourage you to donate of course!).
