Siberia
Did you know that Rhubarb was introduced to Europe by Marco Polo, having discovered the plant in Siberia? Neither did we until 2012 when we first set about brewing with it! Fortunately we were working in collaboration with the renowned beer writer Melissa Cole, and she unearthed this nugget and the name Siberia was born! A smash hit for us then, we brewed subsequent batches over the next few years, the last being in 2016.
As part of our 15 year anniversary celebrations, we're delving back through our brewwing archives to bring our favourites back to life. There could be no other beer to kick things off really than Siberia.
Over all the batches we've brewed we've chopped up over 2000 rhubarb stalks, stewed them with a secret blend of spices, before adding them to the beer.
Sweet yet tart in all the right places.
