Say hi to Gaz - he's part of our brewing team and an all-round good egg. Though he doesn't eat eggs, he's vegan. Trained as a butcher, Gaz joined us as an enthusiastic home-brewer and has developed during his time here, working towards Diploma in Brewing. When he's not making or drinking beer, Gaz is mostly found walking his Lurcher, Pipe, around Ilkley, film-making or establishing an e-bay empire.
We are proud to brew with Simpson's Malt. A 5th generation family business who remain at the forefront of the industry through their passion for innovation and quality control. Traits we celebrate and aim to mirror. Our malt is 100% from UK farmers these days, and it's important to us to support this area of the UK economy as well as underlining our commitment to provenance. They're based in Berwick-Upon-Tweed, and we know our malt has been grown with care, processed with skill and will arrive ready to finish its journey into beautiful beer.
Named after famous Yorkshire anthem 'On Ilkla Moor Baht'at', Bar T'at are champion keepers of cask ale. Nothing makes us happier than seeing our beer in safe hands, and these folk really know how to maintain a good cellar. The team here take pride in their products and service, which is what makes it one of the best places in town. Award-winning Mary Jane is always available on cask here, as well as our Alpha Beta session IPA on keg, but look out for a rotation of our other beers too.
Whitelock's Ale House
Whitelock's was built in 1715 and is the oldest pub in Leeds, loved by locals and tourists alike. Copper top tables, stained glass details and a beautiful tiled bar make this one of the most unique venues in the city. We are proud to have a permanent line here, where the beer is well kept and the food is second to none. And we find ourselves in good local company, with the likes of Saltaire, Ridgeside and Ossett regularly gracing the taps. Whitelocks rotate between our different cask products, so you're always sure to find our freshest and most exciting brews available here. Why not nip next door to their sister venue, the Turk's Head to check if they have any of our keg beers pouring!
